Renata Micherda-Jarodzka
In 1987, I graduated from the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Art and Design in Wrocław, with a diploma in Painting, from the prof. Stanisław Kortyka workshop. Between 1988 and 1993 I lived and created in Toronto, Canada. My work is focused on painting, interdisciplinary arts (sculpture and installations), and interior design. In my artistic work, I am mostly concerned with abstract painting, through which I convey a plethora of emotions, subtexts, and meanings. I challenge commonly accepted rules of aesthetics and utilize elements of scrap metal, wires, concrete, and different types of scrap to give them a new emotional meaning.
